Mamallapuram Dance Festival (late Dec. – Jan.)
A dance festival from all the parts of India accompanied by performances
against the backdrop of the famous Arjuna's Penance. This would be a
time to relish dances like Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, puppet
shows, tribal dances and puppet shows.
Natyanjali Dance Festival (Feb./ March)
This is in honor of Lord Nataraja and dancers from all over the country
come to the Nataraja temple.
The Mahamagam Festival
This festival is celebrated once in 12 years in the city of temples-
Kumbakonam.
Kanthuri Festival
The devotees gather at the shrine of saint Quadirwali. People from
all faith gather here and one of the descendents of the saint is honored
this day.
