Nagore is a Muslim pilgrimage town located at 4 km from Nagapattinam district in Tamil Nadu. Nagore is known for its prominent Muslim shrine known as Dargah. It is dedicated to 16th century saint called Nagore Andavar.
Beach in Nagore, Nagore is a popular pilgrimage center for Muslims. There are three shrines of Nagore Dargah at Nagore, Vanjury, and Silladi. Nagore is the main campus. A 14-day festival called Kandhuri Urs is held here annually.
Nagore Dargah is a prime tourist attraction. The tomb of Dargah is more than 500 years old. It has a golden dome and five minarets. The golden dome has three tombs in three separate chambers. It also has a tank called Peer Kulam.
