in 1459 by Rao Jodha and is also called the Blue City. The old city

Meherangarh
This fort is built on 125m high hill and the most formidable fort in
Rajasthan. It was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha and was later added by

fro carrying people) and armory. The fine paintings that adorn this
palace have been made by one artist and took 10 years to complete.
Jaswant Thada
Is a monument in Jodhpur near to the Meherangarh Fort. This cenotaph
built in 1899 is a white marble memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
Umed Bhawan Palace & Museum
The construction began 1929 and took 15 years to complete. This palace
was designed by the British Royal Institute of Architects for Maharaja
Umed Singh. The palace is made of marble and pink sandstone and is also
called the Chhittar Palace because it uses the local Chhittar sandstone.
The museum contains weapons, banner presented by Queen Victoria to Maharaja
Jaswant Singh and fine china, clock collection and other things.
Shopping in Jodhpur features antiques and has the greatest concentration

Naguar Festival (Jan.- Feb.), is a weeklong cattle fair and includes
