Places to visit Vidhan Soudha
- Literally means the Legislative Chambers of the State Government.
Built in a temple manner architecturally, Vidhan Soudha is the imposing
landmark of Bangalore. The four domes on all the four corners and the
four-headed lion that overshadowed the main entrance are the highlight
of Vidhan Soudha architecture.
The Fort and The Palace of Tipu Sultan- Originally
constructed in 1537 by Kempe Gowda and later fortified by Tipu Sultan,
the Fort is noted for its majestic work in the form of carved arches
in Islamic style and well-preserved Ganapati temple. The Palace of Tipu
is now a museum.
Lal Bagh Gardens- It is one of the most beautiful
gardens of India. This garden is home to many rare trees wealth. Another
markable masterpiece of Hyder Ali's work.
Cubbon Park- Fountains, lush green field, flower beds,
shady trees make Cubbon Park an ideal place to relax or for morning
walk.
Nrityagram Dance Village- Built on the model of gurukula,
it is a dance village 30km from Bangalore. Nrityagram conducts festival
of spring commonly called as Vasantha Habba in which all-leading musicians
and dancers from whole country participate.
