Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi,
for the Romantic Rajasthan Tour, an India Tour Guides representative
will be there to greet you and your family at the airport /
railway station from where you will be escorted to the hotel
in Delhi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening,
go for shopping at the famous Connaught Place. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour
of Delhi. Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the
forms of Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India
Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb, Purana Quila among
others. The evening will be free for shopping at the famous
markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz Khas
Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast and check out from the hotel, set out for
a exciting road trip to Agra. Enroute visit the Akbar's Tomb
at Sikandra. After arrival at the hotel in Agra, check in
and have a sumptuous lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a
sightseeing tour of Agra whereby you will get to see the best
of Mughal architecture such as the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and
Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
Day Four will see you driving full speed towards Jaipur. Enroute,
there will be a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri, a the historical
town built by Akbar where you can see the Bulund Darwaza,
the largest gateway in the world; Jama Masjid and the tomb
of famous Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. After arrival, check
in at the hotel in Jaipur and spend some time at leisure.
In the evening, visit the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar
Mantar and the modern Birla Planetarium. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur
On the fifth morning of the Romantic Rajasthan Tour, visit
the magnificent Amer Fort, the greatest attraction at Jaipur.
The famous fort is situated 7 miles up on a hilltop. The most
convenient way to reach the fort is by riding an elephant.
A ride to the fort on the back of an elaborately painted elephant
is a special tourist attraction, which would surely be a unique
experience for you. Move on to visit the other forts in Jaipur
such as the Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Spend the evening
shopping at leisure at the famous Bapu Bazzar where you can
buy exquisite handicrafts items, jewelry, clothes and other
attractive items. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur - Mandawa
In the morning, drive to Mandawa (157 km). Upon arrival in
Mandawa, check-in at the Mandawa Haveli, that is now a heritage
hotel. Afternoon, visit the town, a painted arched gateway
adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the bazaar.
You can wander through the streets where mansions of rich
merchants are adorned with elaborate and lively frescoes,
cataloging the life, habits and rituals of the Marwari community.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Mandawa - Bikaner - Gajner
Check out from the Mandawa Haveli and drive to Gajner that
is situated at a distance of 230 km. En route, visit the fascinating
city of Bikaner and see the Junagarh Fort, Lal Garh Palace,
Ganga Singh Museum Karni Mata Temple and magnificent Havelis
of Bikaner. Thereafter continue drive to Gajner and check
into the hotel at evening. Visit the magnificent Gajner Palace
that also has a wildlife reserve within its premises. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Gajner - Jaisalmer
After a heavy breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival
in Jaisalmer, check-into the hotel and have lunch. Spend the
rest of the day at leisure and go shopping at the local markets.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Jaisalmer - Nimaj
Jaisalmer is delightful place to explore. After breakfast
enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer that will include
visits to the 12th century magnificent fort of Jaisalmer,
the amazingly carved mansions such as the Salim Singh ki Haveli
and Patwon ki Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and the Barabagh Hill.
After lunch, visit the famous Sam sand dunes situated at the
edge of Thar Desert through a camel safari trip. Later head
towards Nimaj. Arrive at a hotel and retire for the night.
Day 10: Nimaj - Jodhpur
In the morning, visit the Chhatra Sagar reservoir in Nimaj,
that is an ideal destination for nature lovers. Later drive
to Jodhpur that is 90 km away from Nimaj. Post lunch, enjoy
an afternoon city tour of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort,
famous Jaswant Thada Memorial and the Mahamandir Temple. Enjoy
a cruise in Kaliana Lake. In the evening, head for a Bishnoi
Village by jeep, where you will be served a traditional dinner.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11: Jodhpur - Rohet
Morning drive to Rohet (40 kms). Upon arrival in Rohet, check-in
at the hotel. Afternoon visit the surrounding villages. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Rohet - Narlai
Day Twelve of the Romantic Rajasthan Tour sees you speeding
towards Narlai. Upon arrival in Narlai, check-in at hotel.
Post lunch, visit the Rawla Narlai - a royal hunting retreat
known for its stupendous architecture. Stay overnight at the
hotel
Day 13: Narlai - Udaipur
Set out for Udaipur in the morning. En route visit the famous
Ranakpur Jain temples. Thereafter continue drive to Udaipur.
Upon arrival in Udaipur, check into the hotel. In the evening,
go for a boat ride in Lake Pichola and admire the splendid
views of the sunset. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Udaipur
Embark on a full-blown tour of Udaipur with visits to Lake
Palace, City Palace and Jag Niwas Island. After lunch, enjoy
a motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
Later, head out for the Jag Mandir Palace that is an island
palace situated in the middle of the lake. Explore the palace
at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 15: Udaipur - Deogarh
Leave for Deogarh in the morning and reach in time for lunch
at the hotel where you would be putting up. Post lunch, explore
the beautiful Deogarh Mahal that has been standing since the
late 16th century. Also, enjoy a boat ride in any of the numerous
lakes of Deogarh. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 16: Deogarh - Pushkar
After check out from the hotel, set out for a drive towards
for Pushkar. One of the most holiest cities of India, it is
also one of the oft-visited ones. Check-in to a hotel on arrival
and spend some time relaxing in the confines of your luxurious
hotel room. Later, go out to explore the holy city of Pushkar.
Visit the famous Brahma temple situated on the bank of sacred
Pushkar Lake that is only one of its kinds in India. After
paying your obeisance at the temple, head out to the Nag Pahar,
also known as the Snake Mountain. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 17: Pushkar - Sariska
On the penultimate day of the Romantic Rajasthan Tour, drive
to Sariska and check-in at the hotel. Post lunch, visit the
elaborate Sariska Palace, known for its beautiful environs
and ambience. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 18: Sariska - Delhi
Visit the Sariska sanctuary early in the morning to view the
exotic wildlife. In the afternoon, drive back to Delhi. On
arrival, you will be immediately transferred to the airport/railway
station for your connecting journey back home.
