Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi
for Colors and Cultures of Rajasthan, an India Tour Guides
representative will be there to greet you and your family
at the airport / railway station from where you will be escorted
to the hotel in Delhi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
In the evening, go for shopping at the famous Connaught Place.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour
of Delhi. Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the
forms of Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India
Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb, Purana Quila among
others. The evening will be free for shopping at the famous
markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz Khas
Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Samode
After check out from the hotel in Delhi, drive down to Samode
(260 kms). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Have lunch
and relax a while. Late afternoon, visit the Samode Palace
that is replete with architectural delights such as stately
corridors, frescoed walls and ethereal audience halls. Stay
overnight at the hotel
Day 04: Samode - Mandawa
Day Four of the Colors and Cultures of Rajasthan will bring
you to Mandawa , situated at a distance of 100 km. Upon arrival
in Mandawa, check-in at the Mandawa Haveli, that is now a
heritage hotel. Afternoon, visit the town, a painted arched
gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the
bazaar. You can wander through the streets where mansions
of rich merchants are adorned with elaborate and lively frescoes,
cataloging the life, habits and rituals of the Marwari community.
Stay overnight at the heritage hotel.
Day 05: Mandawa - Kuchaman
Undertake a morning drive to Kuchaman after breakfast and
check out from Mandawa Haveli. Visit the Kuchaman Fort that
is replete with cannon points and thousands of muzzle loader
ports. Explore this recently restored Fort that is an exotic
mix of the modern and the ancient décor styles at leisure.
Check in at hotel and retire for the night.
Day 06: Kuchaman - Jodhpur
- Deogarh
Post breakfast, check out from Kuchaman drive towards Deogarh.
Enroute, visit Jodhpur and witness the majestic Mehrangarh
Fort. Continue drive towards Deogarh. Check in at a hotel
and have lunch. Later, set out to explore the town of Deogarh.
Visit the beautiful Deogarh Mahal that has been standing since
the late 16th century. Also, enjoy a boat ride in any of the
numerous lakes of Deogarh. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Deogarh - Devigarh
Next morning, drive towards Devigarh, situated 90 kms away.
Upon arrival, check in a hotel and relax a while. Post lunch,
visit the majestic Devi Garh Fort Palace. An imposing and
impressive structure, it has now been converted into a unique
all-suite boutique heritage hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Devigarh - Mount
Abu
Day Eight will see you driving to Mount Abu that is the next
destination on the Escape to Rajasthan Tour. Enroute visit
the Ranakpur Jain Temples that are over 500 years old. The
most distinctive features are the 29 halls supported by 1444
pillars, of which no two are exactly alike. Also visit the
other nearby Jain temples and the Temple of the Sun God with
its erotic sculptures. Thereafter continue drive to Mount
Abu and upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening
in the peaceful surrounding of Nakki Lake. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 09: Mount Abu - Udaipur
On Day Nine of the Colors and Cultures of Rajasthan, embark
on a sightseeing trip around Mount Abu. Visit the stunning
array of exquisite Dilwara Jain temples, beautifully carved
temples built between 11th and 13th century A.D. Post lunch,
check out from the hotel and set out for an afternoon drive
to Udaipur (190 kms). Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Spend
the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Udaipur - Nimaj
Embark on a full-blown tour of Udaipur with visits to Lake
Palace, City Palace and Jag Niwas Island. After lunch, enjoy
a motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
Later, head out for the Jag Mandir Palace that is an island
palace situated in the middle of the lake. Explore the palace
at leisure. Late evening, set out for Nimaj and arrive just
in time for dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel in Nimaj.
Day 11: Nimaj - Pushkar
After breakfast, explore the quaint town of Nimaj. Visit the
Chhatra Sagar reservoir in Nimaj that is an ideal destination
for nature lovers and the Haveli of Jagram Durg. Post lunch,
set out for Pushkar that is 90 kms away. Upon arrival in Pushkar,
check in at a hotel.
Day 12: Pushkar
Explore the holy city of Pushkar. Visit the famous Brahma
temple situated on the bank of sacred Pushkar Lake that is
only one of its kinds in India. After paying your obeisance
at the temple, head out to the Nag Pahar, also known as the
Snake Mountain. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Pushkar - Jaipur
Post breakfast, leave for Jaipur. Arrive at your hotel. Check
in and relax. In the afternoon, enjoy a full day sightseeing
tour of Jaipur. Visit the prime attractions of Jaipur such
as the City Palace Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the
modern Birla Planetarium. Enjoy an elephant ride up to the
famous17th century Amer Fort. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Jaipur - Fatehpur
Sikri - Agra
In the morning, drive towards Agra. Enroute, stopover at Fatehpur
Sikri and visit the tomb of the Sufi Saint Muin-ud-din-Chisti.
After arrival at hotel in Agra, check in and relax for a while.
Visit the world famous Taj Mahal in the evening and enjoy
it glowing in the moonlight. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Agra - Delhi
Leave for Delhi in the morning, visiting the Akbar's tomb
at Sikandra enroute. Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred
to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day in some last minute
shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 16: Delhi
Early morning, check out from the hotel and transfer to the
airport/ railway station for the journey back home with unforgettable
memories of your Escape to Rajasthan.
