Day
01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi,
for the Classical India and Nepal with Pushkar Tour, an India
Tour Guides representative will be there to greet you and
your family at the airport / railway station from where you
will be escorted to the hotel in Delhi. Spend the rest of
the day at leisure. In the evening, go for shopping at the
famous Connaught Place. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour
of Delhi. Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the
forms of Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India
Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb, Purana Quila among
others. The evening will be free for shopping at the famous
markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz Khas
Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Udaipur
Set out for Udaipur in the morning by flight. Upon arrival
in Udaipur, check into the hotel. In the evening, go for a
boat ride in Lake Pichola and admire the splendid views of
the sunset. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Udaipur
Embark on a full-blown tour of Udaipur with visits to Lake
Palace, City Palace and Jag Niwas Island. After lunch, enjoy
a motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
Later, head out for the Jag Mandir Palace that is an island
palace situated in the middle of the lake. Explore the palace
at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Udaipur - Jodhpur
In the morning, drive to Jodhpur. Enroute visit the Ranakpur
Temples. Upon arrival at Jodhpur, check in at a hotel and
have lunch. Post lunch, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, the famous
Jaswant Thada Memorial and the Mahamandir Temple. Enjoy a
cruise in Kaliana Lake. In the evening, head for a Bishnoi
Village by jeep, where you will be served a traditional dinner.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06: Jodhpur - Pushkar
Spend a leisurely morning. Post lunch, check out from the
hotel and drive down to Pushkar that is at a distance of 110
kms from Kuchaman. Check in at hotel and retire for the night.
Day 07: Pushkar
One of the holiest cities of India, Pushkar is also one of
the oft-visited ones. Go around the city and soak in the pure
ambience all around. Take a dip in the holy water of Pushkar
Lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Pushkar
Explore the holy city of Pushkar. Visit the famous Brahma
temple situated on the bank of sacred Pushkar Lake that is
only one of its kinds in India. After paying your obeisance
at the temple, head out to the Nag Pahar, also known as the
Snake Mountain. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Pushkar - Jaipur
Day Nine will see you driving full speed towards Jaipur. After
a 150 km drive, arrive and check-in at hotel and spend some
time at leisure. In the evening, visit the City Palace, Hawa
Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the modern Birla Planetarium. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Jaipur
On the morning of the tenth day of the Classical India and
Nepal with Pushkar Tour, visit the magnificent Amer Fort,
the greatest attraction at Jaipur. The famous fort is situated
7 miles up on a hilltop. The most convenient way to reach
the fort is by riding an elephant. A ride to the fort on the
back of an elaborately painted elephant is a special tourist
attraction, which would surely be a unique experience for
you. Move on to visit the other forts in Jaipur such as the
Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Spend the evening shopping
at leisure at the famous Bapu Bazzar where you can buy exquisite
handicrafts items, jewelry, clothes and other attractive items.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Jaipur - Fatehpur
Sikri - Agra
Post breakfast and check out from the hotel, undertake a morning
drive to Agra. Enroute, there will be a stopover at Fatehpur
Sikri, the historical town built by Akbar where you can see
the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world; Jama
Masjid and the tomb of famous Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti.
Reach Agra and check in at a hotel. In the afternoon, embark
on a sightseeing tour of Agra whereby you will get to see
the best of Mughal architecture such as the Taj Mahal, Agra
Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day12: Agra - Jhansi - Khajuraho
After breakfast, you are transferred to railway station for
the onward train journey to Jhansi. On arrival, you would
be met and assisted at the station from where you proceed
to Khajuraho. Check in to the hotel on arrival and relax.
In the evening, visit the world-famous temples of Khajuraho
that are renowned all over for their architectural uniqueness
and amazing erotic sculptures. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
Day 13: Khajuraho -- Varanasi
Check out from the hotel after breakfast from where you are
transferred to airport for your onward flight to the holy
city of Varanasi. After arrival and check in at the hotel
in Varanasi, spend the rest of the day at leisure. Late afternoon,
visit the famous temples of Varanasi such as Vishwanath temple,
Annapurna temple, Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple and the
Tulsi Manas temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Varanasi
Wake up early to the chanting of sacred mantras and visit
the numerous sacred ghats of Varanasi such as the Asi, Dashashwamedha,
Adi Keshava, Panchganga and Manikarnika Ghats. Later, enjoy
a boat-ride on the pristine clear waters of Ganges. After
lunch, there will be an excursion to Sarnath where Lord Buddha
preached his first sermon in 590 BC. Explore the quiet little
city at leisure and head back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Varanasi - Kathmandu
After an early breakfast, catch a flight for Kathmandu, Nepal,
from where you will be escorted to Dwarika's Hotel. Have lunch
and for shopping in the evening. Return to the hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 16: Kathmandu
Enjoy a whole day of sightseeing in Kathmandu with India Tour
Guides on Classical India and Nepal with Pushkar. Visit the
Machchhendrananth Temple: Akash Bhairav Temple: Pashupatinath
Temple, National History Museum and Mount Everest. Afternoon,
proceed onto Bodhnath, the largest stupa in the world where
from a towering golden pinnacle the painted eyes of the all-seeing
Buddha gaze across the valley in every direction. Return to
hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17: Kathmandu
Visit the city of Patan on the penultimate tour day of Classical
India and Nepal with Pushkar. The archaeological city is a
treasure house of venerable and picturesque buildings. The
Patan Durbar Square has been acclaimed as one of the finest
urban streetscapes in the world. Some of the famous temples
in the vicinity are Krishna Mandir, Hiranya Varna Mahavir,
Kumbheshwar Temple, Mahaboudha and Jagatnarayan temple. After
lunch, visit the Patan Museum. Return to hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 18: Kathmandu - Delhi
- Onward journey
Bid adieu to the Himalayan kingdom as you are transferred
to the international airport for flight to Delhi from where
you can board a connecting flight/ train back home.
