Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi
for the beginning of the Best of Rajasthan Tour, an India
Tour Guides representative will be there to greet you and
your family at the airport / railway station from where you
will be escorted to the hotel in Delhi. Spend the rest of
the day at leisure. In the evening, go for shopping at the
famous Connaught Place. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Jodhpur
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour
of Delhi. Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the
forms of Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India
Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb, Purana Quila among
others. Evening, transfer to the railway station for the overnight
train journey to Jodhpur.
Day 03: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
You will be greeted at the railway station by an India Tour
Guides representative who will have arranged for a car that
will drive you to Jaisalmer. After a 280 km ride, arrive at
Jaisalmer and check in at hotel. Rest of the day will be free
for leisure activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is delightful place to explore. After breakfast
enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer that will include
visits to the 12th century magnificent fort of Jaisalmer,
the amazingly carved mansions such as the Salim Singh ki Haveli
and Patwon ki Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and the Barabagh Hill.
After lunch, visit the famous Sam sand dunes situated at the
edge of Thar Desert through a camel safari trip. The evening
will be reserved for a cultural performance at a nearby village.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Drive back to Jodhpur in the morning. Upon arrival, check-in
at hotel. Post lunch, enjoy an afternoon city tour of Jodhpur.
Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, famous Jaswant Thada Memorial and
the Mahamandir Temple. Enjoy a cruise in Kaliana Lake. In
the evening, head for a Bishnoi Village by jeep, where you
will be served a traditional dinner. Return to the hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 06: Jodhpur - Kumbhalgarh
The sixth day of the Best of Rajasthan Tour will take you
to Kumbhalgarh that is situated at a distance of 200 km from
Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. After lunch, explore
the Kumbhalgarh Fort at leisure. Enjoy the gives superb views
over the lower land to the North-West, standing over 200m
above the pass leading via Ghanerao towards Udaipur. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur
Day Seven of the Best of Rajasthan Tour Itinerary brings you
to Udaipur. Known as the 'City of Lakes' Udaipur is famous
for its fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, and gardens. After
Check-in to a hotel, relax for a while and get refreshed.
In the evening, go for a boat ride in Lake Pichola and admire
the splendid views of the sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Udaipur
Embark on a full-blown tour of Udaipur with visits to Lake
Palace, City Palace and Jag Niwas Island. After lunch, enjoy
a motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
Later, head out for the Jag Mandir Palace that is an island
palace situated in the middle of the lake. Explore the palace
at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Udaipur - Pushkar
After check out from the lodge, set out for a 275 Km drive
towards for Pushkar. One of the most holiest cities of India,
it is also one of the oft-visited ones. Check-in to a hotel
on arrival and spend some time relaxing in the confines of
your luxurious hotel room. In the evening, venture out on
your own. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 10: Pushkar
Explore the holy city of Pushkar. Visit the famous Brahma
temple situated on the bank of sacred Pushkar Lake that is
only one of its kinds in India. After paying your obeisance
at the temple, head out to the Nag Pahar, also known as the
Snake Mountain. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Pushkar - Jaipur
Day Eleven will see you driving full speed towards Jaipur.
After a 150 km drive, arrive and check-in at hotel and spend
some time at leisure. In the evening, visit the City Palace,
Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the modern Birla Planetarium.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Jaipur
On the morning of the twelveth day of the Best of the Rajasthan
Tour, visit the magnificent Amer Fort, the greatest attraction
at Jaipur. The famous fort is situated 7 miles up on a hilltop.
The most convenient way to reach the fort is by riding an
elephant. A ride to the fort on the back of an elaborately
painted elephant is a special tourist attraction, which would
surely be a unique experience for you. Move on to visit the
other forts in Jaipur such as the Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh
Fort. Spend the evening shopping at leisure at the famous
Bapu Bazzar where you can buy exquisite handicrafts items,
jewelry, clothes and other attractive items. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 13: Jaipur - Bharatpur
Bird Sanctuary
Reach Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary after a five- hour drive. Post
check in and lunch, enjoy a short walk to the Jungle to observe
the roosting of large bird swarms and explore the rich avifauna
and bird species such as Pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks,
Shanks, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, White Ears, Flycatchers,
Buntings, Larks and Pipits. Overnight stay at the forest lodge
in Bharatpur.
Day 14: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
- Agra
Post breakfast and check out from the hotel, undertake a morning
drive to Agra. Enroute, there will be a stopover at Fatehpur
Sikri, the historical town built by Akbar where you can see
the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world; Jama
Masjid and the tomb of famous Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti.
Reach Agra and check in at a hotel. In the afternoon, embark
on a sightseeing tour of Agra whereby you will get to see
the best of Mughal architecture such as the Taj Mahal, Agra
Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Agra - Delhi
In the morning, drive back to Delhi. On arrival check-in to
a hotel at Delhi. If time permits, explore the metropolis
and do a last minute shopping. Later you would be transferred
to airport / railway station for your onward journey or way
back home.
