Day 01: Chennai
After check in at the hotel, and freshening up, begin
a sightseeing tour of the numerous temples in Chennai
that primarily includes the Kapaleeswarar
temple, Marundeeswarar Temple and the Parthasarathy
Temple. You can also visit the Fort Museum, Santhome
Church and National Art Gallery along the way. Return
to the hotel for overnight stay. This marks the first

Day 02: Kanchipuram / Mahabalipuram
A drive from Chennai to Kanchipuram is a worth the
time and effort. Embark on a fascinating sightseeing
tour of Kanchipuram- the land of ancient heritage
and thousand temples. Temples to be seen in Kanchipuram
include the Kailasanatha Temple, Vaikunda Perumal
Temple, Varatharaja Temple and Ekambareswara Temple.
In the evening, head out to Mahabalipuram. There will
be an overnight stay at the hotel in Mahabalipuram.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram
On Day three of the Temple Tour of South India, wake
up feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep and
head out towards the temple in Mahabalipuram that
is only remaining shore temple India. Feel yourself
going back in time as you explore the glorious temple.
Spend the afternoon touring the temple complex, taking
in the detailed architecture. In the evening, go out
on the beach and do some shopping. Return to the hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 04: Pondicherry
A visit to Pondicherry would entail a totally different
ambience that is hard to find anywhere in India. Visit
the Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville where you will
discover how yoga and meditation are changing the
lives of people everyday. The various temples to be
seen in Pondicherry are the Varadraja temple, Manakula
Vinayagar temple, Sri Vedapureeswarar temple, Kamatchiammalle
temple and Varadarajaperumal temple and the Gokilambal
Thirukameswarar temple. Overnight stay at a hotel
in Pondicherry.
Day 05: Chidambaram
Chidamabaram is a delight for temple lovers as it
is replete with famous temples. Start your day by
visiting the famous Shiva temple that is the resting
place of the Nataraja statue. Also visit the Sarangapani
Temple, Kumbeswarar Temple, Brahma Temple, Nageswarar
Temple and Swamimalai Temple. Overnight stay at a
hotel in Chidamabaram.
Day 06: Velankanni
The next temple city on the itinerary is Velankanni
where you can pray at the famous Arokkiya Madha Church.

Day 07: Tanjore / Trichy
Head out towards Tanjore to witness the royal Brahadeeswara
temple, Nandi (Bull)) and the Royal Palace complex.
Later in the afternoon, when we reach Trichy, the
sightseeing tour will include Lord Robert Clive's
house, Srirangam Temple, Rock-Fort Temple and Ganapati
Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Madurai
When you reach Madurai, the first stop on the day's
itinerary will undoubtedly be the world famous Meenakshiamman
temple. Spend the your day exploring the beautiful
temple with its intricate art work and designs. There
will also be visits to the Thirumalai Nayak's Palace
and Gandhi Museum. Overnight stay at a hotel in Madurai.
Day 09: Rameshwaram
The ninth day of the temple tour will see you reaching
Rameshwar, one of the most holiest places for pilgrimage
in south India, and a place without visiting which,
attaining Moksha is impossible. Rameshwaram is dominated
by the famous Rameshwaram Temple is dedicated to Lord
Shiva that sees hordes of devotes each day. Other
temples that you will get to see in Rameshwar are
the Ramanatha Swamy Temple, Ramjharoka temple and
Kothandaramaswamy Temple. Overnight stay at a hotel
in Rameshwar.
Day 10: Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari that overlooks the unison of three mighty
water bodies - Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and the Bay
of Bengal is considered holy by many. Tour itinerary
on the tenth day will include a dip in the holy water
and visits to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi
Mandapam and the Kanyakumari Templeand the Suchindram
Temple. Spend the evening walking along the virgin
beaches and soaking up the serene atmosphere. Overnight

Day 11: Trivandrum
Drive down to Trivandrum and enjoy your last day of
the temple tour by visiting the Padmanabhaswamy Temple,
Aruvipuram Siva Temple Janardhan Swamy Temple Sree
Parasurama Temple Sree Kanteswaram Temple and Ganapati
Temple. Post lunch, you can also visit Napier Museum
and Chitra Art Gallery. Overnight stay at the hotel
in Trivandrum.
Day 12: Departure
