Day 01: Trivandrum
After being escorted in your pre-booked hotel by our
India Tour Guide representative for the Kerala
Backwater Tour, who will also look after
the check-in process, there will be light refreshments
after which you will embark on a sightseeing tour
of Trivandrum. Tourist attractions in Trivandrum include
the Padmanabhaswami temple, the hundred-year old Observatory,
the Trivandrum Museum and Sri Chitra Art Gallery.
Top it up with a splendid boat ride in the enchanting
backwater of Trivandrum, and you will have a lovely
first day on your Kerala Backwater Tour. Return to
the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Quilon (Kollam)
The itinerary for the second on the Kerala
Backwater Tour involves full day excursion
on the backwaters of Kerala. A tour of the Palluruvi
River (milk river) is an optional detour. The sightseeing
at Kollam includes breathtaking panoramic views of
hills, valleys, cascades and dense tropical forest.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Alleppey (Alappuzha)
The third day will see you having a hearty breakfast
and heading out for a enchanting cruise from Kollam
to Alleppey. Disembarking at Alleppey, roam
around the beautiful town or head back to the backwater

will be an overnight stay at the resort.
Day 04: Kumarakom
The entire day will be spent in the quaint little
town of Kumarakom, that is situated on the banks of
the Vembanad Lake and surrounded by invigorating green
forests and backwaters. Apart from cruising along
on the backwaters that will give you an insight as
to why Kerala is deemed to be God's own country, you
can also visit the nearby bird sanctuary. Return to
the hotel for overnight stay
Day 05: Kochi
Next morning, a drive to Kochi will ensure that you
get to witness the exotic natural beauty of the Kerala
interiors. Go for sightseeing at the Jewish Synagogue,
Dutch Palace, St Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets
and Bolgatty Palace. Enjoy one last backwater cruise
before heading back to the hotel for the overnight
stay.
Day 06: Departure
Capture the beauty of exotic Kerala in your mind as
you bid adieu to the backwaters of Kerala,
South India and board a flight back home or continue
to your next destination in India from the Cochin
Airport.
