Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi for Indian
Wildlife Retreat, an India Tour Guides representative will be
there to greet you and your family at the airport / railway station from
where you will be escorted to the hotel in Delhi. Spend the rest of the
day at leisure. In the evening, go for shopping at the famous Connaught
Place. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour of Delhi.
Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the forms of Qutub Minar,
Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun
Tomb, Purana Quila among others. The evening will be free for shopping
at the famous markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz
Khas Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast and check out from the hotel, set out for an exciting
road trip to Agra. Enroute visit the Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra. After
arrival at the hotel in Agra, check in and have a sumptuous lunch. In
the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Agra whereby you will
get to see, Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 04: Agra
Devote the whole of the morning on witnessing the majestic Taj Mahal,
one of the world wonders. Spend time within this exquisite carved Mughal
monument to love. In evening, go for shopping in the local bazaars.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Agra - National Chambal Sanctuary
Day Five of the Indian Wildlife Retreat will take you to the National
Chambal Sanctuary that is at a distance of 70 kms from Agra.
After arrival, check in at a forest lodge and have lunch. Post lunch,
relax a while and in the evening, go for a jeep safari inside the park.
Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 06: National Chambal Sanctuary
Day Six can be spent at leisure going for jeep and elephant
safaris within the National Chambal Sanctuary. Also, witness
the amazing marine life inside the sanctuary that is home to the elusive
Gangetic Dolphin, Marsh Crocodile, Gharial or Fish Eating Crocodile,
Freshwater Turtles, River Otters and a various species of fish. Return
to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Chambal - Bharatpur - Ranthambhore National Park
Set out for Ranthambore National Park. Enroute, visit the fascinating
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Spend a while within the
precincts, watching the various exotic bird species as you are taken
around on a rickshaw. Continue forth on your journey to Ranthambore
National Park where you arrive late in the evening. Check in at a wildlife
resort and retire for the night.
Day 08: Ranthambore National Park
The itinerary for the eighth day of the Indian Wildlife Retreat
Tour allows you to spend the entire day within the Ranthambore
Tiger Reserve. Go for game viewing and have fun spotting the tigers
in their natural habitat. Stay overnight at the resort.
Day 09: Ranthambore National Park
Enjoy an early morning jeep safari to explore the rich flora and fauna
of the Ranthambore National Park and also indulge in bird watching.
The bird life here is also excellent, particularly around the lakes
where you will also have the opportunity to view the famous Marsh Mugger
Crocodiles. In the evening, go for game viewing. Stay overnight at the
resort.
Day 10: Ranthambore National Park
Explore the wildlife and other attractions of Ranthambore National
Park. You can also see the impressive Ranthambore Fort. Return
to the jungle resort to stay overnight.
Day 11: Ranthambore - Jaipur
Enjoy another morning wildlife safari and see the amazing animals of
Ranthambore. Post lunch, leave for Jaipur. In Jaipur, you will be putting
up at the heritage Mandawa Haveli. Check in and relax. In the evening,
visit the famous shopping markets of Jaipur such as Johri & Bapu Bazaar.
Day 12: Jaipur
After breakfast, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Visit
the prime attractions of Jaipur such as the City Palace Museum, Hawa
Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the modern Birla Planetarium. Enjoy an elephant
ride up to the famous17th century Amer Fort. Also visit the majestic
Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Overnight stay will be at Mandawa Haveli.
Day 13: Delhi - Goa
Check out from the heritage haveli after breakfast from where you will
be directly taken to the airport. Look forward to your flight to Goa
on Day Thirteen of the Indian Wildlife Retreat Tour. After arrival,
check in at hotel and relax a while. In the evening, go out on the beach
and have fun. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 14: Goa
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Goa that would include trips to Basilica
of Bom Jesus, St Cathedral Church, Church of St. Francis of Assissi,
Fontanhas and Dona Paula. In the evening, enjoy a ferry cruise. Overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 15: Goa
Spend a relaxing day at the splendid beaches of Goa, sun bathing or
enjoy a body rejuvenating massage at the beach. The various beaches
of Goa such as the Anjuna Beach, Colaba Beach and others are the prefect
places to indulge in adventurous sport activities. Overnight stay at
the hotel.
Day 16: Goa
As one can never get enough of Goa or its wonderful beaches, India Tour
Guides has arranged for another day of for you to have fun at Goa, lazing
around at the beaches or going underwater for adventurous activities.
In the evening, attend any of the numerous beach parties happening around
the town. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17: Mumbai - Departure
The end of the Indian Wildlife Retreat is marked by a flight back to
Mumbai from where you can board a connecting flight/ train back home.
