Day 01: Corbett Camp
Depart from Delhi early morning and drive to the world-famous Jim Corbett
National Park. On arrival, check into the Corbett Camp and have lunch.
Post lunch, enjoy a enthralling jeep safari within the Corbett Tiger
Reserve and try spotting the myriad wildlife of the national park and
its most prized inhabitants-the tigers. Back to camp by sundown for
campfire barbecue. Dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 02: Corbett Camp -Lohachor
Check out from the camp as early as 6:30 am and enjoy the fresh morning
air as you drive out towards Durga Devi and enter the tiger reserve
on elephants. The exciting elephant safari will last
15 kms and take you through the Ramganga valley to Lohachaur. Have packed
lunch enroute at Domunda and experience the beautiful environs such
as some excellent patches of fern laden moist sub tropical jungles.
Arrive at Lohachor in the evening on the back of the elephant. Dinner
and overnight stay at forest rest house / tents. in Lohachor
Day 03: Lohachaur -Kanda
Depart early morning upstream on huge elephants along the Mandal River
towards maidavan chowki and have breakfast enroute. Post breakfast travel
on through small hamlets and patches of thick Sal forest to arrive at
Maidavan chowki on the back of elephants. Lunch is served at Maidavan
and post lunch we drive in jeeps to Kanda, the highest forest rest house
in the Tiger reserve. Overnight stay in the forest rest house/tents.
Day 04: Kanda- Dhikala- Back
The fourth day of the Elephant Safari Tour takes you to Dhikala where
you can morning game drives in the national park. After another round
of game viewing and bird watching, drive back to Kanda and retire for
the night in the forest rest house/tents.
Day 05: Kanda - Ratwadhap - Mundiapani
The fifth day of the Elephant Safari Tour will see
you ambling your way to Ratwadhap on the back of a majestic Indian elephant.
Have lunch enroute and soak in the pretty ambience while enjoying your
elephant safari. Travel onwards to Mundiapani Forest
Rest house where you stay for the night.
Day 06: Mundiapani - Gujjar Dera (Palain Valley)
Head out towards the Palain valley for an early morning Elephant Safari.
Enroute, stopover at Vatanvasa gate for breakfast. After breakfast,
carry on along the Palain River with your elephant safari.
Arrive at the Gujjar Dera by lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon
in the company of Gujjars - a semi nomadic tribe that is also the most
prominent tribe in the area. Camp overnight at Gujjar Dera in tents.
Day 07: Gujjar Dera - Haldupardao
After breakfast, proceed for an exciting elephant ride along with a
packed lunch all the way to Haldupura. This is pure elephant country
and one can expect to see elephant herds besides other wildlife enroute.
Arrive at the Haldupardao Forest rest house by noon. Post lunch, set
out for a thrilling game drive within the Sonanadi wildlife sanctuary.
Stay overnight in the forest rest house and tents
Day 08: Depart for Delhi
Bid goodbye to the elephants, mahouts, naturalist and the rest of the
team and depart for Delhi after breakfast. Arrive at Delhi from where
you will be transferred to the airport/ railway station for your onward
journey.
