Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi for the
South India Wildlife Tour, an India Tour Guides representative
will be there to greet you and your family at the airport / railway
station from where you will be escorted to the hotel in Delhi. Spend
the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, go for shopping at the
famous Connaught Place. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour of Delhi.
Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the forms of Qutub Minar,
Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun
Tomb, Purana Quila among others. The evening will be free for shopping
at the famous markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz
Khas Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Bangalore
After breakfast, catch a morning flight to Bangalore. From the Bangalore
airport itself, drive towards Mysore that would take about 3 hours.
After an early lunch, go on a sightseeing tour of Mysore that would
include visits to the beautiful Brindaban Gardens, the historic and
ornately decorated Mysore Palace, Jaganmohan Palace and Art, Rashtriya
Manav Sangrahalaya and the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple. Overnight stay
at the hotel.
Day 04: Bangalore - Nagarhole National Park
On Day Four of the South India Wildlife Tour, visit
the famous Nagarhole National Park that is 80 kms away from Bangalore.
Check in at a wildlife resort. Post lunch; enjoy an exciting and enjoyable
jeep safari within the Nagarhole National Park to explore
the rich wildlife of the park. Overnight stay at the wildlife resort.
Day 05: Nagarhole National Park
Spend the whole of the fifth day within the precincts of Nagarhole
National Park. Go for an early morning jeep safari and indulge
in a bit of bird watching. Afterwards enjoy a superb Coracle ride on
the Kabini River flowing within the national park. In the evening, get
on an elephant for another round of jungle safari and game viewing.

Day 06: Nagarhole National Park - BR Hills
Put on your hiking shoes as the sixth day of South India Wildlife
Tour will see you begin with an eventful and exciting trekking
in B R Hills. From atop, enjoy the enchanting view of the surroundings
while exploring the amazing wildlife of the region. Spend the night
out camping in the tents.
Day 07: BR Hills
Enjoy another fascinating day of morning and evening wildlife viewing
and strenuous bird watching. Overnight stay in the tents.
Day 08: BR Hills - Bandipur National Park
After an early morning breakfast, undertake a four hour drive to Bandipur.
After arrival and check in at a wildlife lodge, rest a while. Late afternoon,
enjoy a jeep safari inside the wildlife sanctuary for wildlife viewing.
Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 09: Bandipur National Park
You get to spend the whole day exploring the different corners of the
Bandipur National Park. Divide your time between game viewing and bird
watching. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 10: Bandipur National Park - Ooty
After breakfast and check out from lodge, enjoy the fresh mountain breeze
as you drive towards Ooty. Arrive at Ooty in the afternoon and check
in to a hotel / resort. Go for a leisurely mountain walk in the evening.
Overnight stay will be in Ooty.
Day 11: Ooty - Munnar - Eravikulam National Park
Check out from the hotel and head towards Munnar on the eleventh day
of the South India Wildlife Tour. Check in at a resort and then head
for the Eravikulam National Park for some exquisite game viewing. Overnight
stay at the resort.
Day 12: Eravikulam National Park - Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
After an early morning visit to the Eravikulam National Park for wildlife
viewing and bird watching, drive towards the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary,
stopping enroute for lunch. Arrive late in afternoon and spend rest
of the day in leisure. Overnight stay at the resort
Day 13: Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Day Thirteen will see you donning your adventure cap as you set out
on jungle treks through the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary along with a
trained guide. Enjoy an enchanting boat ride on the Lake Periyar. .
You can also enjoy spotting a wide variety of exotic and colorful birds
(both domestic and migratory birds) in Periyar. Overnight stay at the
resort.
Day 14: Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - Kumarakom
Bid adieu to the haunting beauty of Periyar and enjoy the long drive
to Kumarakom in the morning. After arrival, check in to a resort and
rest for time. In the evening, enjou a languid backwater cruise in the
waters of Kumarakom. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 15: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary
Spend the penultimate day of the South India Wildlife Tour in the picturesque
Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and have a great time trying to spot the various
exotic species of birds. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 16: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary - Kochi - Further Destination
Start for Kochi in the morning where you can visit the city's prime
tourist attractions such as the Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue,
Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and the Fort Cochin. Later, transfer
to city airport to board a flight for your onward destination or back
home.
