Day 01: Mumbai
On your arrival at Mumbai airport on the day One of the West
and South India Tour Itinerary, an India Tour Guides
representative will meet and assist you to check into a hotel
for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Mumbai - Aurangabad
After breakfast, the sightseeing tour will begin. You will
visit the famous Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, Mani Bhawan,
Dhobi Ghat, Towers of Silence, Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens
and Marine Drive. Enjoy a boat ride to the Elephanta Island
and then go shopping at the Crawford Market. Return to the
hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Later in the evening,
board the plane for a short flight to Aurangabad in Maharashtra,
west India. Check in to a hotel with the assistance of your
tour guide where you stay overnight.
Day 03: Aurangabad- Ajanta Caves
The tour itinerary on the third day of the West and
South India Tour includes an exursion to the Ajanta
Caves that are located at a distance of 106 kilometers from
Aurangabad. Explore the rock carvings at leisure before heading
back to the hotel in Aurangabad for overnight stay.
Day 04: Aurangabad- Ellora Caves - Hyderabad
After breakfast, visit the famous Ellora Caves that are located
at a distance of 29 kilometers from Aurangabad. Later in the
evening, board the train for Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh,
South India. Overnight stay on board the train.
Day 05: Hyderabad
Upon rrival at Hyderabad, check into the hotel and refresh
yourself. Post lunch, visit the Charminar, Mecca Mosque and
the Salar Jung Museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Hyderabad
Explore the city of Hyderabad at leisure on day six of the
west and South India Tours. Enjoy an excursion to the ancient
Golconda Fort. You can also go on tours to the tombs of the
Qutab Shahi Kings and the several mosques located in Hyderabad.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07: Hyderabad - Chennai
Check out form the hotel and board a flight for Chennai in
Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, check into a hotel and relax for
a while. Post lunch, enjoy a sightseeing trip that include
visits to the Art and Bronze Gallery, Santhome Cathedral,
Snake Park, Marina Beach and the Flower and Fruit market.
You also drive past the High court and the Fort museum. Overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Chennai - Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram
Day Eight of the West and South India tour
includes daylong excursion to Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.
Visit the temples of the Kailasanatha, Ekambaswara, Varadarajaswamy
and Sri Kamakshi. Overnight stay at hotel in Chennai.
Day 09: Chennai - Mysore
Pack your bags and get set for a drive to Mysore. Enroute,
enjoy the changing topography, lifestyles, history that will
give you an insight as to how different are the two regions.
Arrive at Mysore and check into a hotel. After a hearty lunch,
embark on a sightseeing tour to Brindavan Gardens and Mysore
Palace in the land of Tipu Sultan. Return to the hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 10: Mysore
Explore the city of Mysore at leisure with visits to the Chamundeshwari
Temple, Nandi Bull and the Art Gallery. Overnight stay at
the hotel in Mysore.
Day 11: Mysore - Belur - Halebid - Mysore
The tour itinerary on Day Eleven of the West and South
India Tour includes excursions to Belur and Halebid
in Karnataka, South India. Visit the Chenna Kesava temple,
Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples. Also go to Sravanbelgola
and see the massive statue of Lord Gomteshwara. Return to
Mysore for overnight stay at the hotel
Day 12: Mysore - Bangalore
Drive to Bangalore early in the morning and check in at a
hotel. Relax a while and then the sightseeing tour begins
in the afternoon that takes you to the Lal Bagh gardens, the
Parliament Building Vidhan Soudha and the Visvesvaraya Industrial
and Technological Museum. Return to the hotel for a prearranged
overnight stay.
Day 13: Bangalore - Mumbai
Check into the hotel and drive back to Mumbai in Maharashtra.
On your arrival, check in to the hotel and spend the rest
of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Mumbai
Check out from the hotel and then you will be driven to the
airport for the connecting flight back home.
