Day 01: Delhi
As you arrive in the heart of India- the capital city of Delhi,
an India Tour Guides representative will be there to greet
you and your family at the airport / railway station from
where you will be escorted to the hotel in Delhi. Spend the
rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, go for shopping
at the famous Connaught Place. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, commence on daylong sightseeing city tour
of Delhi. Witness Delhi's rich architectural heritage in the
forms of Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India
Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb, Purana Quila among
others. The evening will be free for shopping at the famous
markets of Delhi such as the South Extension and Hauz Khas
Market. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Mandawa
In the morning, drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival in Mandawa,
check-in at the Mandawa Haveli, that is now a heritage hotel.
Afternoon, visit the town, a painted arched gateway adorned
with Lord Krishna and his cows that leads to the bazaar. You
can wander through the streets where mansions of rich merchants
are adorned with elaborate and lively frescoes, cataloging
the life, habits and rituals of the Marwari community. Stay
overnight at the heritage hotel.
Day 04: Mandawa
Spend the day going on tours to some of the palaces or havelis
located in Mandawa, Rajasthan. Visit the local bazaar. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Mandawa - Bikaner
Drive to Bikaner on the fifth day of the Tour Rajasthan
Forts and Palaces, early in the morning. Check in
at a hotel. Post lunch, set out to visit the Junagarh Fort,
Lal Garh Palace, Ganga Singh Museum Karni Mata Temple and
magnificent Havelis of Bikaner. Also visit the camel breeding
farm of Bikaner, the largest one in all Asia. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 06: Bikaner - Nagaur - Khimsar
The itinerary for the sixth day of Tour Rajasthan
Forts and Palaces brings you to Khimsar. Enroute,
visit the Nagaur Fort. Upon arrival, check in at a hotel and
relax a while. Afterwards, set out to visit the grand Khimsar
Fort, built in the 16th century. The fort has beautiful carved
windows in stone. Explore the hotel at leisure and then return
to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Khimsar - Osiyan - Jaisalmer
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Jaisalmer.
Enroute, stop at Osiyan, a village famous fir its oasis. On
arrival at Jaisalmer, check into your hotel and refresh yourself.
Then go for a drive to see the sunset over the sand dunes
near Jaisalmer. Return to your hotel to stay overnight
Day 08: Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is delightful place to explore. After breakfast
enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer that will include
visits to the 12th century magnificent fort of Jaisalmer,
the amazingly carved mansions such as the Salim Singh ki Haveli
and Patwon ki Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and the Barabagh Hill.
After lunch, visit the famous Sam sand dunes situated at the
edge of Thar Desert through a camel safari trip. The evening
will be reserved for a cultural performance at a nearby village.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
On Day Nine of the Tour Rajasthan Forts and Palaces,
reach Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check into a hotel and refresh
yourself. In the evening, enjoy a cruise in the Kaliana Lake
and watch the beautiful sunset. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Jodhpur
After breakfast, set out to explore the city at leisure. Visit
the Umaid Singh Bhawan Palace, Mehrangarh Fort, famous Jaswant
Thada Memorial and the Mahamandir Temple. In the evening,
head for a Bishnoi Village by jeep, where you will be served
a traditional dinner. Overnight stay ay hotel.
Day 11: Jodhpur - Kumbhalgarh
Check out from the hotel and drive to Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan,
North India. Enroute, visit the Ranakpur Jain Temples. Continue
drive to Kumbhalgarh and check into a hotel upon arrival.
Post lunch, visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Overnight stay ay
hotel.
Day 12: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur, situated at a distance of 260 kms. Enroute
visit the Ranakpur Jain temples Continue drive to Udaipur
and check-in at hotel. In the evening, enjoy a motor launch
cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. Overnight stay
at the hotel.
Day 13: Udaipur
Embark on a full-blown tour of Udaipur with visits to Lake
Palace, City Palace and Jag Niwas Island. Later, head out
for the Jag Mandir Palace that is an island palace situated
in the middle of the lake. Explore the palace at leisure.
Also visit the Gulab Niwas Garden and Sahelion Ki Bari. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Udaipur - Chittorgarh - Junia
Day Fourteen will take you to Junia. Enroute, stop over at
Chittorgarh and visit its famous fort and the Tower of Victory.
Arrive at Junia and check in at the hotel where you stay overnight.
Day 15: Junia- Jaipur
Day Fifteen of the Tour Rajasthan Forts and Palaces will see
you driving full speed towards Jaipur. After arrival, check
in at the hotel in Jaipur and spend some time at leisure.
In the evening, visit the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar
Mantar and the modern Birla Planetarium. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 16: Jaipur
Visit the magnificent Amer Fort, the greatest attraction at
Jaipur. The famous fort is situated 7 miles up on a hilltop.
The most convenient way to reach the fort is by riding an
elephant. A ride to the fort on the back of an elaborately
painted elephant is a special tourist attraction, which would
surely be a unique experience for you. Move on to visit the
other forts in Jaipur such as the Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh
Fort. Spend the evening shopping at leisure at the famous
Bapu Bazzar where you can buy exquisite handicrafts items,
jewelry, clothes and other attractive items. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 17: Jaipur - Delhi
After an early breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Check in a
hotel and spend the rest of the time at leisure. Late evening,
leave for the airport to board your flight to your onward
destination or back home at the end of the Tour Rajasthan
