Day 01: Chennai
As you arrive in the city of Chennai for the South
India Tour, an India Tour Guides representative will
be there to greet you and your family at the airport / railway
station from where you will be escorted to the hotel in Chennai.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the
hotel in Chennai.
Day 02: Chennai - Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram
Day Two of the South India tour includes
daylong excursion to Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Visit
the temples of the Kailasanatha, Ekambaswara, Varadarajaswamy
and Sri Kamakshi. Overnight stay at hotel in Chennai.
Day 03: Chennai - Madurai
Check out form the hotel and enjoy a sightseeing trip that
include visits to the Art and Bronze Gallery, Santhome Cathedral,
Snake Park, Marina Beach and the Flower and Fruit market.
You also drive past the High court and the Fort museum. Later
in the evening, board the train to Madurai and spend the night
on board the train.
Day 04: Madurai
Upon arrival at Madurai, you will be escorted to the pre-booked
hotel by an India Tour Guides representative. Post lunch,
enjoy afternoon tours to the tourist attractions of Madurai,
South India such as the Meenakshi Temple, Tirupara Kundran
Rock temple, Tirumala Nayak Palace and Alagar Hills. Overnight
stay at the hotel in Madurai.
Day 05: Madurai - Periyar
Day Five of the South India Tours will bring you the Periyar
National Park in Kerala, South India. After checking
into a jungle lodge, enjoy a thrilling jeep safari inside
the perimeters of the Periyar wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight
stay at the jungle lodge.
Day 06: Periyar - Thiruvananthapuram/ Trivandrum
Check out form the jungle lodge after enjoying another early
morning safari inside the wildlife sanctuary
and drive to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, South India. Once
you arrive, check in at the hotel where you will stay overnight.
Day 07: Thiruvananathapuram/ Trivandrum
Go on a sightseeing tour around Trivandrum that will include
visits to the Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Sri Chithira Art
Gallery and the Veli Tourist Village. In the evening, indulge
in some last-minute shopping before retiring to the hotel
for the night.
Day 08: Trivandrum - Cochin
The Eighth day of the South India Tours will bring you to
Cochin. Arrive at Cochin and get checked in at a hotel. Relax
and refresh yourself during the day by making use of the hotel's
facilities. In the evening, be prepared for a cultural extravaganza
that will also include a dazzling Kathakali dance performance.

Day 09: Cochin
The ninth day of the South India Tour will see you exploring
the natural harbor port city of Kochi. There will be visits
to the Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue The Dutch Palace
and the Potuguese Churcheas well a trip to the souvenir shops
of Cochin. Overnight stay at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 10: Cochin - Bangalore
Arrive at Banglaore and check in at a hotel. Relax a while
and then the sightseeing tour begins in the afternoon that
takes you to the Lal Bagh gardens, the Parliament Building
Vidhan Soudha and the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological
Museum. Return to the hotel for a prearranged overnight stay.
Day 11: Bangalore - Mysore
Pack your bags and get set for a drive to Mysore. Enroute,
enjoy the changing topography, lifestyles, history that will
give you an insight as to how different are the two regions
within a single state. Arrive at Mysore and check into a hotel.
After a hearty lunch, embark on a sightseeing tour to Brindavan
Gardens and Mysore Palace in the land of Tipu Sultan. Return
to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Mysore
Explore the city of Mysore at leisure with visits to the Chamundeshwari
Temple, Nandi Bull and the Art Gallery. Overnight stay at
the hotel in Mysore.
Day 13: Mysore - Chennai
On the penultimate day of the South India Tour,
spend the day at leisure. Later, board the Express Train to
Chennai. On your arrival in Chennai, check in to a hotel,
have dinner and then retire for the night.
Day 14: Chennai
Bid adieu to Southern India as you are driven to the airport
in Chennai for your connecting flight back home.
