Day 01: Kathmandu
As you arrive in the heart of Nepal- the capital city of Kathmandu
for the Kailash Pilgrimage Tours, an India
Tour Guides representative will be there to greet you and
your family at the airport / railway station from where you
will be escorted to the hotel in Kathmandu. Spend the rest
of the day at leisure. In the evening, visit the Hanuman Dhoka,
the old royal palace and the Pashupatinath Temple a holy Hindu
shrine. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and go on a sightseeing
tour of Kathmandu with visits to the Buddhist sites of the
Swayambhunath Stupa and the Boudhnath Stupa. Make a memorable
travel trip to the medieval town of Bhaktapur. Overnight stay
at the hotel.
Day 03: Gyantse - Lhasa
Check out from the hotel and head towards Lhaasa. Arrive at
Lhasa, post lunch. Spend the rest of the time at leisure acclimatizing
yourself to the chilling and high altitudes. Overnight stay
at the hotel in Lhasa.
Day 04: Lhasa
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing trip around Lhasa.
Visit the Nietang Buddha, the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple
Barkhor Street, Sera Monastery, Ganden Monastery and Drepung
Monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Lhasa - Shigatse
On Day Five of the Kailash Mansarovar Tour,
after an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive
to Shigatse, which is located at a distance of 340 Km from
Lhasa. Lunch en route can be had at the preplanned time. Arrival
at Shigatse will lead to dinner and over night stay in the
assigned hotel.
Day 06: Shigatse - Latse
Embark on a sight seeing tour of Shigatse that will comprise
of visits to the Sakya Monastery, Shalu Monastery and Tashilhunpo
Monastery. Post lunch, check out from the hotel and drive
to Latse. Arrive late in the evening and check into the hotel
where you would be spending the night.
Day 07: Latse - Saga
After an early breakfast, the Kailash Mansarovar tour
leaves for Saga that is 300 km away and takes 8 -9 hrs to
reach. Lunch will happen as planned on the route. Dinner and
overnight stay at the guesthouse follows.
Day 08: Saga - Paryang
Post breakfast, check out from the guesthouse and proceed
for Parayang. Have lunch en route. Upon arrival at Paryang,
check into a small lodge, have dinner and retire for the night.
Day 09: Paryang - Mansarovar
The ninth day of the Kailash Mansaroar Tour
brings us to Mansarovar. Lunch happens en route followed by
a satiating meal and overnight stay at the guest house at
Mansarovar.
Day 10: Mansarovar
Spend the entire day on the holy banks of Mansarovar Lake.
You can also perform the Mansarovar Parikrama by either on
jeeps or by foot. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Mansarovar - Tarboche - Driraphuk
Check out from the guest house after a good night's rest and
breakfast and depart for Tarboche which is the starting point
for Kailash Parikrama. This is followed by a trek to Driraphuk.
The evening is there for the dinner to be had and overnight
camping follows suit.
Day 12: Driraphuk - Zutulphuk
After an early breakfast, start trekking to Zutulphuk via
the Dolma Pass. The distance is 18 km. Arrive after an enjoyable
trek of 8-9 hours at Zutulphuk and have dinner followed by
overnight camping.
Day 13: Zutulphuk - Mansarovar
On the 13th day of the Kailash Mansarovar Tour, trek for another
10 km to arrive at the ending point of Parikrama where jeeps
shall be waiting to drive the pilgrims back to Mansarovar.
Day 14: Mansarovar- Paryang
After an early breakfast, drive on to Parayang. Lunch can
be had en route. Dinner and overnight stay at the guest house
follows.
Day 15: Paryang - Saga
On the 15th day of the Kailash Mansarovar tours, drive from
Paryang to Saga where you stay overnight in camps
Day 16: Saga - Nyalam
After an early breakfast, head for Nyalam. Lunch can be had
en route. Arrive at Nylam, and check into hotel.
Day 17: Nyalam - Zhangmu - Kathmandu
After an early breakfast, head for Zhangmu which is located
at distance of 26 km from Nyalam. After completing immigration
formalities, cross the Friendship Bridge on foot. On the other
end of the bridge, a jeep will be waiting to drive you back
to Kathmandu. Reach Kathmandu, late in the evening and check
in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 18: Kathmandu
After breakfast, go on sightseeing tours to the tourist attractions
in Kathmandu such as the National Museum and the Patan Durbar
Square. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 19: Kathmandu
The Kailash Mansarovar Tour comes to an end as you check out
from the hotel and drive to the airport to board your flight
back home.
